About Worthington Airport
Ashland itself is located on the bank of the Ohio River. The population has risen as of late to more than 360 thousand people making it the 5th largest in Kentucky. A long list of famous singers, musicians, athletes and actresses are from Ashland most notably: the Judds (Naomi, Wynonna, and Ashley), and Billy Ray Cyrus (Cyrus grew up in the Flatwoods neighborhood in Ashland).

Things to do in Worthington
There’s not much to do in Ashland but you can take you pick of a very short list of activities. Visitors can choose to go Antiquing, to see the arts or to a museum, area parks,

There are a few antique shops you can visit on Bellefonte there’s Antique Junction and White Eagle Collectables Mall; near Greenup Avenue there’s Reggie’s Attic and Rivertown Antiques; and Catlettsburg has the Catlettsburg Antique Mall and Salisbury Farm Antiques.

There are plenty of Arts & Museums. Pendleton Arts Center, Highland Museum & Discovery Center Art of the Redeemed Studio & Gallery, The Fame Up Gallery and The Upstairs Gallery. You can see a concert at the Paramount Arts Center or a movie at the Cinemak Theaters.

There’s also bowling at Blue Ribbon Lanes, golf at one of e many golf courses, or Tennis at the Ashland Tennis Center downtown. Ride ATVS over at the KOA campgrounds Scuba dive at Greenbo, or explore the caves. Ashland parks offer some great views, nature trails playgrounds, golf, some have picnic areas, restrooms, and other sporting facilities.

Worthington Restaurants
If you bring the family along you have to eat at Jim’s Hotdogs & Spaghetti a favorite for kids all around. After you finish eating head over to Crisp’s Dairy Treat for dessert. The Frame up Galley has a great place to eat, if your destination takes you there make sure you grab a bite to eat at The Cafe Zeal. Just like most other cities in America you do have an array of fast food chains on Greenup Avenue there’s McDonald’s, Taco bell, and Subway. Around the corner on 23rd and Montgomery Avenue is Wendy’s; and further west is Burger King, Arby’s, Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, and Ruby Tuesday’s just to name a few.

Hotels near DWU
There are a good number of chain hotels in Ashland including the Budget Inn Express The Four Seasons, Days Inn, Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and the Ramada just to name a few. Accommodations are available at the Bear Creek Lodge as well. The lodge offers acres of land that is great for hunting deer elk, and birds as well as other exotic herds.
