There is the ground floor Explorer’s Hall, that is just under 20,000 square feet and then there is the Summit Hall, which is just over 11,000 square feet. Both of these rooms can be broken into smaller areas as booths and both have adjoining rooms that can be used during the same event. The Summit Hall has been described as the most flexible of the halls in Anchorage. This is indeed something that you can decide for yourself, but it can be used for almost anything that your heart desires. There are even smaller rooms, one of which is a conference room that can be rented for meetings and various other small events. Many of the users of the larger rooms will use a small room for planning and setting up the various tasks of the main event. There are many that use the lower conference room as a meeting place for those that are in charge of setting up the main event or to direct the visitors if there is more than one "main" event. The center is located very close to both the main highway and the airport. Both of these are within a ten minute ride and both are easy to get to and easy to find. Traffic is rarely an issue near these and the mall is just to the north of the center itself. There is also the Grand Hotel very close and to the north for those that will be staying more than just the one day. Anyone that want to take a look around the area is encouraged to head to the north until they get to the hotel and then to the west. This will take folks to one of the most gorgeous coastlines that the world has to offer. | |
