This facility is a combination of convention center and fairgrounds situated in DeLand, Florida. It is made up of 2 indoor arenas along with two exhibit halls. About the Volusia County Fair and Expo Center The Townsend Livestock Pavillion delivers 18,270 square feet of exhibit hall space, with a ceiling height between 12′ and 16′. The smaller trade shows take place at the 8,100 square foot Tralton Exhibit Hall. All 4 venues total 58,770 square feet of prime exhibit space. They are used separately or in combination for accommodating trade shows, conventions, and various other types of events that include the Volusia County Fair. They all feature concession stands, state-of-the-art PA systems and restrooms. Things to do in DeLand The Reptile Discovery Center features a large collection of native venomous snakes. There are live venom extractions happening twice daily. You can also enjoy picnic facilities and a nature trail there. Never pass up a visit to Highland Park Fish Camp when you’re in DeLand. This place has been frozen in time, it is the way you get a true peek at how ‘old Florida’ was, back before theme parks became part of the landscape. The largemouth bass bite year round in this rustic destination, making it an authentic haven, gracefully carved out of the surrounding wilderness. The Persimmon Holler Brewing Company is a must stop for beer enthusiasts. They give tours daily. The word is, their Pumpkin beer is to die for, not as spicy as many other pumpkin beers but very easy to drink.
