About Villahermosa Airport
The airport serves more than 1 million passengers each year. Vilahermosa itself is the largest city and the capital of Tabasco a state in Mexico. More than 600 thousand people live in Villahermosa. It lies a little more than 500 miles (863 km) from Mexico City. The recent finding of oil in the city many artifacts of the Oltec Culture have been found.

Things to do in Villahermosa

• See the stars at the Planetarium; there are three shows ever hour from 5pm to 7pm.

• See the artifact recovered from the oil drilling site that belongs to the Oltec culture at the La Venta Museum-Park. The park is situated on swamp land there are lots of animal, exhibits, and more to do in the park. Plan to wear long sleeves and mosquito repellent. The admission fee is $40 USD.

• Take a tour of the Yumka which represents the 3 ecosystems present in Tabasco: lagoon, forest and Savanna. Only Spanish is spoken on the tour.

Villahermosa Restaurants
Head over to Avenida Pino Suarez the restaurant row for Villahermos. There you will find many restaurants with budget friendly food options. In the city there is an ample amount of fresh seafood and it is very affordable. Aguas frescas and Horchata are very refreshing to drink n the hot weather.

Hotels VSA
There are many national hotel chains available in Villahermos including the Hyatt Regency and the Hilton. The Hyatt features a in-room gardens, swimming pools, and great views of the city plus a sitting room. The hotels have Wi-Fi and granite bathrooms. There is also free breakfast in the mornings and in the evenings there is cocktails and canapés. If you find yourself near the bus stop and looking for a hotel take a taxi to the center of the city. The hotels near the bus stop are usually not very clean and the area is pretty loud. Rooms there can be expensive also.
