University of North Texas has more than 36,000 students and well over 1000 faculty members. The university offers numerous areas of study with 90 plus Bachelor programs and over 80 Master programs. The popular majors are management, communication and English. The school has a major athletic and performing arts programs. The University of North Texas was founded in 1890 and was originally a private college for teachers. The university has many student clubs and activities and the rate of participation is impressive. If you prefer smaller class sizes, The University of North Texas boasts that nearly 30 percent of classes have fewer than 20 students. The ratio of professors to students is also very low for a university of its size.
