About Universal
It is perhaps one of the most tourist-centric parts of the city, but there are plenty of things to do in order to keep one busy. The Orlando International Airport is relatively close to the area and has two main concourses. There is a lot of shopping before going through security and several restaurants to choose from as well. On the bottom floor, there are also various services, including concierge and car rentals.

Universal Hotels
There are a number of neighborhood hotels to choose from in the Universal area. Some of the hottest hotels are those that are specifically on the Universal Studios resort property. While more expensive, some of them offer airport transfers and have restaurants and bars on premises. This includes Hard Rock Hotel and Portofino Bay Hotel. You can also find a Holiday Inn Express across the street from the main entrance to the park.

On I-Drive, which is around the corner from the resort, you can also find several high-end hotels such as the Peabody Hotel as well as the Wyndham Orlando, that offers room service and other luxury amenities.

Attractions near Universal
Throughout Universal, there are many attractions. At the top of the list is Universal Studios. This is broken out into two theme parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. In between the two is an area known as City Walk, where there are such restaurants as Emeril’s, Hard Rock Café, and Margaritaville. There are also various clubs and bars in the area as well. Other attractions include the CSI Experience, the Star Trek Experience, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

There are attractions for individuals, couples, and families. Several miniature golf courses are found on International Drive. Close to Universal is also several bowling alleys, many family oriented restaurants, as well as dinner theatres, such as the Pirate’s Adventure and the Titanic Experience.
