DUR airport hotel transfers At the heart of Durban Point, The Spinnaker is located on the far south end of the Durban Beachfront, providing the perfect ethereal view for ending the day. Rooms include marble-tiled floors and sleek wooden desks, not to mention cool in-room telescopes. Also available are stylish all-white family suites that come with bunk beds, living areas and balconies that feature mid-century furniture. Handicap parking is also available, but it should be noted the hotel’s amenities are not wheelchair-friendly. Public transportation is unfortunately nowhere near the hotel, though a handful of private vehicle options include sedans, vans and SUVs perfect for exploring each waterside attraction. Reserve a meet-and-greet service to make it to special events instead, choosing between low-key taxis for bypassing the crowd near Durban Convention Centre, or go with a local personal driver to see the beauty of each corner.
With instant access to a wide variety of beachside attractions, the hotel is especially great for getting to know the day. Go for a ride along scenic canals via the Zulumoon Gondolas, afterward walking toward the nearby Point Waterfront for the perfect starting point to walk along the miles-long beachfront. Families interested in finding an all-in-one location should walk over to uShaka Marine World, home to a vast aquarium and waterpark perfect for getting around. A popular staple just outside the waterpark include The Cargo Hold Restaurant’s aquarium-lined walls and rustic ship ambiance, while even more fun can be had if guests continue toward the South Beach neighborhood. At the heart of this area includes oriental restaurants and shops at China Mall, while Marine Parade offers access to stoic piers jutting out into the Indian Ocean. And along the sandy shores of the adjacent North Beach region are even more getaways, including Mini Town’s miniature re-creations of world-famous landmarks. |
