The convention center is located in proximity to the Amtrak station, offering easy accessibility for travelers coming in from other cities. The Spokane Transit Authority bus service has a regular service that passes the convention center from Downtown Spokane. About the Spokane Center The area is used for a number of exhibitions, meetings and events, and it’s run by the Spokane Public Facilities District. The center is also adjacent to the INB Arts Center. Because of its location, Spokane Center offers visitors with exceptional views of the Riverfront Park and offers direct and easy access to the Centennial Trail. The exhibition hall has the capacity to accommodate several thousand guests for community events, meetings, banquets, trade shows and sporting events. The hall has beautiful lobby area that offers scenic views of the Spokane River. Renovations to the convention center that were completed in 2007 offer more than 164,000 sq ft of meeting space. The center has 24 state-of-the-art breakout rooms as well as the Conference Theatre. The theatre, ideal for multimedia presentations accommodates 270 people. It has front and back screen projection, translation capabilities and teleconferencing. The facility also has a ballroom that can be divided into three sections. Among other features and amenities at the convention center, Wi-Fi is available within the premises and business services which include copiers and fax machines. Wheel chair facilities are also available for the disabled as well as restrooms. The facility also provides guests with access to a plethora of entertainment and shopping options. Large corporate and small intimate functions like birthdays, anniversaries and weddings can held there, and the center is fully equipped to adjust to whatever size the event. Paid and free parking is available just outside the exhibition hall, and from that area visitors are within easy access to hotels, transport options and other attractions in and around Spokane. Things to do in Spokane With so many great places to kick-start an adventure, visitors can take a short trip to the Centennial Trail and enjoy the nice views and secluded environment it bears. The paths are nicely paved and you can get to view a variety of bird species. The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture rates as the largest cultural establishment in Inland Northwest. It has five underground galleries as well as orientation gallery, a store, education center, café and a community room. It also features the Center for Plateau Cultural Studies.
