At SHR airport while there are other taxi companies available in town, such as Yellow Checker, Sheridan is the only taxi company available 24 hours for the airport.

Public phones for taxi calls are available inside the terminal. There are no public buses or bus stops at the airport. There are no subways, railways or trains that make stops at the airport.

Sheridan County Airport, a county airport for general aviation uses, is located just five miles from the center of Sheridan, Wyoming. While most the flights that pass through are public use flights, there is one scheduled commercial airline that makes scheduled stops, Great Lakes Airlines.

About Sheridan Airport
The airport spans more than 1,500 acres of land, which holds a main terminal building with two paved runways. More than 37,500 flights pass through the airport annually, with an average of 100 flights per day. A helicopter charter company, Bighorn Airways, is also at the airport. Ample parking is available at Sheridan County Airport in a well maintained, spacious and secured lot. The lot offers both long and short term parking options. Long term is located to the rear of the lot while short term parking is towards the front.

SHR Airport Terminals
Sheridan County Airport offers complimentary wireless Internet access with charging stations for its passengers and guests. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. While there are no dining options available at the airport at this time, there are plenty of vending machines that offers quick snack and drink fares for on the go. There is no gift shop available at the airport, though there is one small newspaper stand that does offer magazines and other reading materials. ATMs are located near the ticketing counter. There are no baggage carts available.

Avis and Budget Rental Agency are both located inside the terminal near the ticketing counter. Both offer excellent rates and vehicle options. Hours for the rental company run the same hours as the airport. Rental cars are located in the front of the short term section of parking. There is a drop box for keys and paperwork for after hour vehicle drop-offs.

Hotels near SHR
The Best Western Sheridan offers excellent accommodations, rates are economical, and coupled with a shuttle service to the airport, this is an excellent choice for overnight or long stays. For those who can afford a little more in their hotel accommodations, consider the Hampton Inn, which offers a swimming pool, fitness area, business center, and shuttle services to the airport.
