SZX airport transfers On the far west side of China’s massive city of Shenzhen, cruise goers arriving to the vibrant urban-natural juxtaposition of Shenzhen Bay will see mainland China on their left and the autonomous region of Hong Kong on the right. The port itself is on the side of Shenzhen, nestled along the foothills of Shenzhen Danan Mountain. The modern structure is home to a clean exterior and various western-friendly amenities like a large food court with coffee and fast food, among luxury lounges for private comfort. Local speedboats and a few ferries offer transfers throughout the coastline, while the walking-distance Shekou Port Subway Station offers easy transfers at any given point. Private transfers can take things a step further, simple sedans and larger SUVS offering the chance to tour the area’s lush backdrop with total ease, meet-and-greet services offering a different kind of comfort through easy drop offs ranging from simple taxis to modest local personal drivers.
Discover all there is to do just west of Shenzhen by getting enamored with the shoreline beauty of Deep Bay. Just north of the cruise port are a few stoic parks that include Shenzhen Danan Mountain Reform’s rigorous climb ending in rewarding views, afterward walking along the shores of Shenzhen Park for casual glimpses of downtown’s growing skyline. Other cool parks located a bit further include Safari Park Shenzhen, an animal-filled oasis that offers views of bear, giraffe and elephant habitats, while the slightly further quietude of Yang Tai Shan Forest Park provides a truly immersive backdrop for escaping the city’s noise. Graces with nature close to downtown include the Mangrove Nature Reserve’s showcase of Southeast Asia’s beloved root, while the Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park is home to old pagodas and lush stairways. Retire by the end of the day with a memorable restaurant, options close to the cruise terminal including the western-friendly menu at Baia Restaurant Bar & Grill, as well as English-style eats at George and Dragon British Pub. |
