About 15 miles from downtown Shenyang, Shenyang International Airport makes getting to the city more of a hassle than a convenience. Take care of that by reserving a room at a nearby airport hotel, the closest available option being Shenyang Airport Hotel, located just 10-minutes walking distance from the main terminal. Another choice is Shenyang Green Island Hotel, a popular resort for business travelers due to its instant access to several restaurants, shops, and tranquil on-site courtyards.

Enjoy a few on-site eateries and shops to pass the time, grabbing a classic western bite at KFC and McDonald’s, or going casual with a cup of coffee several cafes, one of which is an internet café that provides complimentary computers. You can also kill some time at M Bar, which offers a Karaoke machine sure to offer hours of fun. Pick up a souvenir as well by visiting the SMART Specialty Convenience Store, also considering a range of fashion from the Armani, Coach, and Mont Blanc stores.

If you’re staying close to the airport for the duration of your trip, make the convenience worth it by traveling to nearby attractions, starting at the nearby Mozishan Park, a quaint oasis just north of the facility. For something more expansive, head to the southeastern Yinshi Shan Forest Park, home to untamed wilderness that showcases the region’s vivid plants and wildlife while also offering next-door access to the popular Botanical Garden of Lumingchun. A bit further east is the even bigger Forest Nature Reserve, home to vast trees and hills alongside rural-style restaurants like Shanli Home and Shanyuan Farm.

Shenyang Destinations
Experience the hidden underbelly of Shenyang by seeing its most vivid landmarks, enjoying the capital city of China’s Liaoning Province in capital style, whether you’re planning to see the ornate designs that make up Mukden Palace or the fortified tombs at Fuling Mausoleum. Explore the importance of ‘the Mukden Incident’ by visiting the September 18th History Museum, also referred to as East Gate, afterward complimenting the region’s history with a modern stroll across the shops and restaurants of Zhongshan Square.
