About Santa Monica
This city is a welcoming place to all, from students to families, from surfers to businessmen. There is something magical about a beachfront city.

Nicknamed “SaMa,” Santa Monica has also become known as a place to go for a well-deserved vacation, and history has shown that this Los Angeles County City has been growing ever since the 80’s with its aggressive renovations of downtown and the increase of job growth increased tourism. The Santa Monica Looff Hippodrome is one of America’s historical treasures, is now a National Historical Landmark.  It is located near the Santa Monica Pier, that was erected in 1909. It is still offering rides to its adoring public to this day, and delighting people old and young.

Going back to how welcoming Santa Monica is to so many people, that also includes celebrities of all types of art professions. There are many people in the public eye who have chosen to make the beautiful city by the sea their home.

Just this small listing of assorted names is a small scratching on the surfacing in the ‘famous’ category of folks that call Santa Monika home.

Per the 2010 Census, the median household income for Santa Monica had recorded as $72,271. The top three employers of Santa Monica are: 1. City of Santa Monica, 2. Santa Monica – UCLA Medical Center, and 3. Santa Monica College.
