SJU airport transfers Often the first impression for tens of thousands of cruise goers visiting Puerto Rico’s capital city, the San Juan Cruise Port is a cultural gateway connecting the cruise ship directly to Old San Juan as well as an array of modern restaurants along the seawall. Admire Spanish-colonial facades upon entry into the bay, getting around either by foot or making things a bit quicker through helpful transfers to and from the cruise ship. These transfers range from an array of smaller vehicles like honeymoon-friendly sedans ideal for finding intimate beaches, or larger chartered buses and vans ideal for bringing the family to the vast acreage of Luis Munoz Rivera Park - but for something much simpler, get dropped off to all-in-one location hassle free, reserving time with either a carefree local personal driver, or enjoying a relaxed luxury backdrop on the way to likewise resort restaurants via chauffeured limousine.
Peer beyond the obvious when making landfall, starting with what’s by the cruise terminal - cross the bay with one of two boat lines departing from the Muelle de Viejo San Juan Ferry Terminal, or walk to lively central benches and cobblestoned streets along the festive ambiance of Plaza Colón. Continue north from there to reach the world famous Castillo de San Cristóbal, a historic Spanish-colonial citadel known for its cliffside views and famous walled-in design. Continue along the coastline for other historic relics, passing through the vibrantly colored homes stacked on one another in the neighborhood of La Perla, a handful of museums located in between, including the old abandoned market streets of The Museum of Art and History, as well as the hidden garden home of Casa Blanca. Good restaurants for talking over dusk include the north side’s vintage Cinema Bar 1950, while the tremendously popular Raíces offers upscale Puerto Rican right by the port. |
