The San Antonio River runs through the convention center, and also provides easy transportation using river taxis. There are restaurants, historical attractions and shops nearby. The facility is named after Henry Barbosa Gonzalez the late US congressman. It is maintained by San Antonio’s Convention and Visitors Bureau and by the Downtown Operations.
