Pune Airport Transportation

Just north of the massive city of Pune, Pune International Airport is one of the state’s busiest facilities. Get out of the busy area by making sure you’ve got a ride to show you all things Pune, from the 17th-century ruling of the Maratha Empire to the ancient cave temples dedicated to several Hindu gods. Those looking to take a private tour on their own should go with a private ride, choosing between the simplicity of sedans or the grandiosity of a chartered bus. Also great to think about is the absolute convenience of a pick-up, whether it be a simple taxi perfect for work functions or a stretched limousine that makes each corner shimmer.

PNQ Transportation
Access to public transportation is limited, with a few bus stops run by Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) outside. There are also coach buses and taxis offering rides to the city as well as nearby train stations, the closest being the Khadki Train Station a few miles west of the airport. A great way to get around easier is by booking a shuttle, either through area shuttle or sedan providers, enjoying the ease of custom drop-offs as well as bag handling services.

Shared Ride Van
Get anywhere together and on a budget by going with a shared ride, making arrangements through area companies for one-time lifts to the city’s most popular hotels and resorts, whether it be the refined atmosphere of Sunderban Resort & Spa or the upscale opulence of JW Marriott Hotel Pune.

Private Van
Those in need of a large ride should go with a private van to take care of up to a dozen passengers, getting to widespread locales ranging from the tranquil fields at Pune Okayama Friendship Garden to the stately promenades of Aga Khan Palace. Make it happen through local providers, thanking yourself tomorrow for the extra wiggle room.

Private Sedan
Take the road less traveled with a ride that allows you to take your time, booking a private sedan from area companies to make your way to low-key getaways, from the forested trails of Osho Garden to the unique exhibits at Joshi’s Museum of Miniature Railways, all at the ease of being your own driver.

Local Personal Drivers
Find the lesser seen side of Pune by booking a local personal driver as your chauffeur, exploring the hidden underbelly of the ancient surroundings by asking which of the many unique 8th-century landmarks are worth your time, afterward following your driver’s tips on where the best place to eat is.

Private SUV
Reserve a private SUV from local providers, making the most out of each moment with a ride that can carry up to six passengers in both comfort and safety. Whether you’re interested in the rides at Imagica Theme Park or exotic creatures from Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, you’ll have more than enough options.

Taxi Cab
With Lavasa International Convention Centre and Auto Cluster Exhibition Center both located in the same city, Pune has become one of India’s most popular business locales. Get to important events while avoiding the hassle of parking and traffic by booking a taxi, also utilizing the reliable lift for a timely ride to the airport.

Stretched Limousine
See the side of Pune that shimmers in the sunlight and lights up in the moonlight, booking a stretched limousine to see opulent riverside hotspots with ease. Book with area shuttle companies to have your chauffeur take you to an amazing performance at Swatantra Theater, afterward heading to Malaka Spice for fine bites in an amber-lit courtyard.

Chartered Bus
With cramped streets leading to expansive landmarks, a chartered bus is exactly what large groups exceeding a dozen passengers need. Arrive to the expansive fortress gates of Shaniwar Wada as well as the ornate landscape of the Empress Botanical Garden, seeing it together each step of the way.

Those wanting to stay close to the airport and the city should stay near the Viman Nagar neighborhood, home to quaint jogging parks, shops, and museums. Make sure nothing gets left behind by keeping important logistics on your person, either by printing out your shuttle’s confirmation email given at the time of reservation or by writing down a list of to-dos ranging from hotel check-in times to emergency phone numbers. Another good thing to keep up with is your personal ID and prescriptions, something you can easily take care of by scanning all documents ahead of time. If you can’t find ground transportation, you can also seek help from the information desk, located at the core of the airport.
