Amtrak operates a Pennsylvania transport line that connects Harrisburg to other major cities in the state. The city has a substantial citywide bus system, as well as commuter rail, both of which connect to the farm center. If you prefer to travel via car, there are several cab services, including Fast Cab and Kenny’s Cab Service. About Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center consists of eleven buildings covering more than 24 acres altogether. Located in the capital of Pennsylvania, it provides easy access for locals and visitors alike. The complex is divided into several parts. The main areas include three permanent arenas as well as exhibition halls. The Large Arena has 28,000 square feet of floor space and seats 7318 people in the permanent seats. The Equine Arena is 39,200 square feet at the floor with seats for 1660. It also has a stable that is attached to the arena to enable the horses and other animals to be moved back and forth easily. The final arena is the Sale Arena, which is 4000 square feet at the floor and seats 918 people. There is also a significant amount of exhibition hall space in the farm show complex and expo center. The Main Hall has 146,527 square feet and has been in existence since 1931. The Exhibition Hall has 172,000 square feet and has been on site almost as long, opening in 1939. There are four additional halls, each smaller than these main halls that add a total of 187,600 square feet to the usable space of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. Among the many attractions of Harrisburg is the annual farm show held at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, which is the largest of its kind in the country. The outdoor sports expo is likewise the largest in the country, and the horse show is one of the largest in the country. Harrisburg is a popular destination in the farm, livestock and outdoor sports worlds. Beyond these attraction, Harrisburg has a vibrant and exciting nightlife, one that is especially known for the variety and quantity of jazz clubs. Beyond jazz, the city has a major performing arts center that hosts the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. It also is the source of the Cow Parade, a public arts project that created large fiberglass cows that were decorated in various ways that have been sent to tour other major cities.
