Paris Orly Airport abbreviated ORY, is located 8.1 miles (13 km) south of Paris France. Orly is one of the busiest airports in France in terms of passengers, and it serves more than 27 million people each year. Paris itself is the capital of France. It’s located on the Seine River in the North of France. Paris is nicknamed the "City of Light," or La Ville-Lumiere because it was the first city to line it’s Champs-Élysées boulevard with gas lamps. Much of Paris is a UNESCO World Heritage site and Paris also has a large number of Michelin-restaurants. With so many iconic landmarks Paris is one of the world’s leading tourist destinations.

Paris is known for many things, one of which is its cuisine. It has been a center for culinary arts for decades and chefs around the world come here to study. Paris is also known for its art, its shopping and of course for its romance. Paris is of course the City of Love.

Paris’ second largest airport is Paris-Orly. Paris-Orly is positioned about 8 miles south of Paris, halfway in the city of Orly and halfway in the city of Villeneuve-le-Roi. Orly was the main airport in Paris until Charles de Gaulle Airport was built. Charles de Gaulle Airport is now the busiest French airport for international travel but Orly is still the busiest airport in France for domestic flights. Another well known airport nearby is the Aéroport Paris Beauvais Tillé that travelers can use to get to and from hotels in downtown Paris.
