About the Myrtle Beach Convention Center Visitors to the convention center can enjoy the beauty of coastal South Carolina and one of the prime vacation spots in the country. The Myrtle Beach Convention Center has more than 250,000 square feet of usable space. This includes a massive exhibition hall that has drive-in access to make loading and unloading easier. The exhibition hall has 100,800 square feet of space and is completely column free, making it usable for large-scale events like car and boat shows. The exhibition hall can be divided into three sections to allow for smaller events or multiple events running at the same time. The high, 35 foot ceilings, are ideal not only for large events but for large-scale productions. The ballroom is another major component of the convention center. Measuring in at 17,000 square feet, the ballroom can accommodate even the largest of banquets or presentations. The ballroom is more elegant and sophisticated than the exhibit hall and has the ability to be divided into up to five sections for maximum flexibility. This space is ideal for formal events and special occasions. The convention center also has 17 meeting rooms of various sizes. Many of these rooms can be combined to create a larger space as needed. There is also a fully equipped boardroom with space for 10 people for higher-level meetings. Things to do in Myrtle Beach The other thing that Myrtle Beach is famous for is golf. There are many full and partial golf courses situated in Myrtle Beach as well as in surrounding areas. Many visitors to the area bring their clubs and enjoy some of the best golfing in the country.
