Each month committee members meet and discuss what they could put on or create to get all residents of the city excited or happy to get in involved in participating while having a wonderful time doing so. It is a challenging but fun committee, but its members are up to keeping Monterey Park looking beautiful and their residents being proud and happy on where they live.

About Monterey Park This city has been changing and forming its identity for many years.Not only the language and diversity of the people have changed, the businesses have evolved. Monterey Park village has become a prestigious forty-thousand square foot mega shopping center in the commercial portion of Monterey Park located on south Atlantic Avenue. Make an entrance by booking a limousine service from Los Angeles airport here when you first get into town, you will need the extra space anyways when you shop for all of your bags. Some of the many tenants keeping shop there are Walgreen’s, Staples, and Togo’s Eatery. Nearby are also spectacular Botanical Gardens, Treasured Art Collections, and a historical museum. Also, located in Garvey Ranch Park in Monterey Park is where you can find the amazing Garvey Ranch Observatory. This amazing piece of equipment, complete with an adjoining museum, classroom, and a one-thousand book library. And speaking of businesses, the top five employers of this city are as follows: City of Monterey, Superior Court of Los Angeles County – Edmund D. Edelman Children’s Court, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Garfield Medical Center, and East Los Angeles College. Monterey Park has four zoned school districts that serve their entire city. There are also alternative schools students have the options to attend to in very nearby sister cities. Furthermore, Monterey Park is home to East Los Angeles Community College and Monterey Park holds nearly twenty one thousand household units within its city limits, fifty five percent were owner-occupied, and thirty thousand, or forty five percent household units were rental units. This city has beautiful natural attractions along with other means of entertainment. They celebrate annually the Cherry Blossom Festival, Cinco de Mayo, Community Beautification Day, Geranium Festival, the Lunar New Year Festival, and of course, the Fourth of July.
