Manila Airport Shuttles |
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport serves the Manila, Philippines metro area. The airport is commonly referred to as the Manila International Airport. | |
Any number of shuttles, trains, buses, Jeepney modified US Army jeeps and taxis are readily available to book. Taxis should be booked in the airport or online to ensure a ride in an official metered taxi. Free transportation is available between the terminals but may not be easy to locate. A ride in a Jeepney will get you where you need to be within the complex and is quite an experience. The standard compliment of rental cars is also available at the terminal if that is your preference, although driving in Manila is best left to those who have done it before. About Manila Airport The airport saw nearly 33 million passengers pass through its gates in 2013 alone; approximately 15 million were on international flights. Numerous cargo carriers also operate out of MNL and combined to move approximately 450,000 metric tons of cargo every year. MNL makes use of four terminals to handle the massive passenger volume. A fifth terminal currently is being added to expand the airport’s impressive capacity. All international flights arrive at Terminal 1 and Terminal 4 and handle all domestic flights. Terminal 1 is an older facility, which is usually very hot and very crowded. The terminal can be confusing for first time visitors. It is this dubious triple threat of issues that leads some to believe the terminal is among the worst in all of Asia. The airport does offer Wi-Fi service in Terminal 1 & 2 VIP lounges. Standard (and non-standard) ground transportation options are plentiful at the terminal exits. Hotels near Manila MNL Contact Information |
