The airport offers three general parking areas which include short term parking, long term parking and garage parking. The short term lot has a maximum daily rate and the long term has a daily rate. Covered parking is a flat rate and offers shuttle rides from the parking lot to the terminal main entrance. Handicapped spaces are available in all lots. Lubbock Hotel Shuttles There is a rental agency on site that offers rental cars from Avis, Alamo, Thrifty, Enterprise, Hertz and National. The rental counters are open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (availability is limited during the holidays, so please call ahead). Yellow Cab and Checker Cab are both available on site in a small lot adjacent to the terminal. If there are no cabs on site, please see an airport representative. About Lubbock Airport Like many other airports, Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport offers passengers complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access. Airport police are located on the upper level of the terminal as well as a medical station. There are two observation decks on the second level. There are two baggage claim areas. One is located outside of Gate 3 and one is between Gates 8 and 9. There is an outdoor lounge that allows smoking. There is a Starbucks Coffee House located near the main entrance. There is one airport restaurant that offers sit down meals and pre-prepared meals for those on the run. Comfort stations are spacious and well maintained. There is a pet comfort station located to the left of the main terminal. Baggage carts are available at baggage claim areas and ATMs are located near the main entrance.
