The Logan Square Neighborhood Association is there to make sure that this area stays a wonderful attraction for all. They monitor crime, beautification, as well as those little nuisances that you never know exactly how to handle in a neighborhood.
All of these great points is one of the main reasons that Logan Square was named one of the 10 hottest neighborhoods in the country for 2013.

About Logan Square Its popular retail district has an old time feel with many prominent stores. Although Logan Square is in the city all the green spaces gives it that old town feel. Logan Square is quickly changing with all of the new development projects that have taken place over the last 5 years. The once graffiti-clad graystone buildings that lined most of the street are a thing of the past. It’s now the place of hipsters and with its Michelin Starred tavern, coffee houses, whiskey cafes and cocktail bars, so book a pick up from Chicago International Airport and start off your day on a good note. Logan Square has always been a melting pot which is evident by the many diverse housing options still available in the area. From the prominent mansions to the condominiums and new brick town-homes to name a few of the growing list of housing options. This area is home to people from all walks of life from young singles to families. It’s a place with good schools and a real sense of community. When you move into the area you can take advantage of the many public transportation options like the blue line and several other bus routes. For those of you that would rather bike it, it less than 6 miles to downtown using N Milwaukee Avenue. Adding to its residential feel is Palmers Square located at Palmer and Kedzie which is home to the arts festival in the summer and well known for its live music. Palmer Square definitely adds to the local flavor. The summer is also a time for the local farmer’s market and The Tastes of Logan Square (a culinary celebration). As Autumn creeps in residence can enjoy the Historic Manson House and Garden Walk. If you are really into the community feel just head on over to the Whirlaway where the owner Maria is always behind the bar. She will remember your name the next time you come in. You can find every culinary delight you can imagine near the Chicago Hotel by taxi to the Latin Food Polish, American, Italian, and Asian cuisine. The bars, bakeries, delicatessens, pubs and bars give the area that hometown attraction for many of the residence. |
