About Ko Samui Airport
There are literally dozens of airports across the world located in exotic picturesque locations but Ko Samui airport undoubtedly takes the crown among the top designed and most beautiful airports in line with breath-taking natural surroundings.

Ko Samui is a privately owned Airport managed by Bangkok Airways which operates flights to and from the facility. The airport code is (USM), and since February 2008 Thai Airways has also been serving the route.

Ko Samui Airport, is situated on the northern end of the island in proximity to Bo Phut Beach. The terminal was built in 1982 and started operations in 1989.

Flights between Samui Island and Bangkok are served by Bangkok and Thai Airways, with layovers in the city of Bangkok and connections to many European and Asian destinations. The airline plans to increase its capacity and launch direct flights to international destinations for medium-range routes using the small airport. This plan is under the airline’s plan to increase growth as well as a directive of the airport’s property fund. There are also future plans in place to provide non-stop flights from Ko Samui to Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Dubai and Shanghai. Current destinations from the airport include; Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, KU-Tapao, Singapore, Phuket and Krabi.
