Kahului Airport Shuttles

At OGG airport or Kahului Airport you can book shared ride vans. It is a regional airport in Hawaii and located on Maui in Maui County. Most OGG flights come in from Honolulu.

The Maui Shuttle Service located at the baggage claim area is another recommended transport service. The service runs between Kahului Airport and lodging properties in Maui throughout Makena, Kahului, Honokowai, Kahana and Napili. No advance booking is required. Taxis and luxury sedans are available from the terminal’s Ground Transportation center.

Kahului Area Hotels
Different Kahului hotel transportation are located in close proximity to Kahului, and depending on your preferred star ratings, location or budget, you will always find one to suit you. Haiku Plantation Inn, Marriott Kahului, Maui Ocean Breezes Haiku and Kamaole Sands are some of the hotel options located within minutes’ drive from the airport.

Free and paid parking lots are available at Kahului. Drivers picking up passengers are permitted to wait at the Cellular Telephone Waiting Lot for an hour without charge. Parking tickets are issued from ticket dispensers when entering each parking lot. Tickets are presented to the cashier upon exiting. Parking designation row letters are put up to help locate your vehicle. Drivers should take note of their designation letter to make them easily find their vehicle upon return. Shuttles also run from the airport to the cruise port, Kahului Harbor.

Kahului is not that big an airport, and there isn’t much activity to do. During your free time, you could visit any of the few restaurants to get a taste of local food.

About Kahului
Kahului Airport located in Hawaii is situated on the north end of the bridge between the Western Maui Mountain Ranges and Haleakala on Maui Island. The airport code is OGG airport and occupies about 1,400 acres of land. It is ideally located just three miles to the east of Kahului town.

Kahului Airport ranks as the second busiest airport in Hawaii, and is the newest when it comes to terminal facilities. A roadway network connects the passenger terminal, cargo, air taxi/commuter, scenic operations, aviation facilities and other airport maintenance facilities to Hana and Haleakala Highways.

Personnel at Kahului Airport also handle management and operations of Kapalua-West and Hana Airports on Maui Island; Lanai Airport on Lanai Island; and Kalaupapa and Molokai Airports situated on the island of Molokai. There are several dining and shopping options available for travelers at Kahului Airport. These are however limited and operational hours, which change seasonally, are based on flight schedules.

About OGG Airport
Kahului is the shopping area for people who live in Maui. There is a good selection of major retailers and malls. Some of the places residents go to shop are the Queen Kaahumanu Center where you can find department stores, the Maui Marketplace and Maui Mall, Lahaina Cannery Mall, the Happy Valley area of Wailuku and the Shops at Wailea.

Although Kahului is not thought of as a major tourist destination it has many attractions. Kahului is home to Kanaha Beach County Park, the Kanaha Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary, the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, and the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum.
