The Subway Services at Ataturk International goes through many parts of the European side of the city, at a very efficient price. To take the Subway from the to Aksaray, is an estimate of 0.75 euros one-way, and takes approximately 30 to 35 minutes.

The shuttle services, operated by Havataş, run very frequently to Bakirkoy, Yenikapı, Aksaray, and Taksim Square, but are usually packed so get there quick, or purchase your ticket before it is time to get on the shuttle. Some of the shuttles you will see more often are AirportShuttles.com, GO Airport Shuttle, and Carmel Car and Limo. Although a slower form of transportation, the Municipality Busses are said to be much cheaper than the Havatas.

Istanbul Ataturk Airport is located in Yesilkoy, 24 km west of the city centre. In the 2013 Air Transport News awards ceremony named Istanbul Ataturk Airport of the Year. IST got named 17th busiest airport in the world in 2013 by serving over 51 million passengers, which made it Europe’s fifth busiest airport, coming behind Amsterdam, who was number four. IST has four terminals, each for different types of flights. Terminal one is for domestic flights; terminal two is for international flights, terminal three is for cargo flights, and then IST airport has a general aviation terminal. With an Airport this big, do not get too scared; there are also many different airline assistants who are fluent in vast languages just waiting to help passengers out.
