Havana Airport Shuttle Service

Taxis are available and located in front of the terminals. If you are taking a taxi one-way from the airport to downtown Havana it can take around 20-30 minutes to get there. Keep in mind that most of the drivers never turn on the meter so it is helpful to settle on a fare up front. Rental Cars are available from agencies located in the arrivals area or outside parking. It is recommended that you book a car rental in advance, as availability stays limited. About Havana Airport Jose Marti International Airport connects Cuba with all of the Americas (North, Central and South), the Caribbean, Europe and one destination in Africa. Previously known as the Rancho-Boyeros Airport, it was opened in 1930 and named in memory of the famous Cuban Patriot and Poet, Jose Marti. Now, Jose Marti International Airport is Cuba’s main domestic and international gateway that serves around nine million passengers each year. It has four terminals that serve 25 different air carriers. Terminal 1 – is primarily used for domestic flights and is used by Cubana de Aviación, Aerogaviota, and Aero Caribbean. Terminal 2 – has recently been undergoing renovations. It mainly handles schedule Special Authority charter flights to and from the United States. Terminal 3 – is the main international terminal and handles flights with 25 international airlines. It is the largest, most modern and most used terminal. Terminal 4 – is the Caribbean terminal, that handles all Cuban airline Aero Caribbean flights including domestic and regional, as well as Aero Taxi domestic charters. Jose Marti International Airport also has a freight terminal with a 600-ton capacity, two refrigeration and freezing chambers with humidity and gas control.
