HAV airport transfers Just off the coast of Florida’s floating Keys, Havana is Cuba’s mainstay for Americans looking for a quick getaway. Havana Port is the capital city’s main terminal for boats, the building just big enough for only the smallest of cruise ships. Public transportation includes various bus routes along San Pedro as well as a ferry terminal that offers transfers across town. Reserve a private ride for the chance to move things along more smoothly, enjoying the personal freedom of small sedans best for getting through narrow streets fast, or enjoy a larger chartered bus to reach the day with ease. Meet-and-greet services are also great for getting drop offs to wherever, either through the eyes of a native via local personal driver or fast taxi drop offs that make finding the coastline especially easy to reach - and of course, a luxury limousine is perfect for looking lavish while arriving to some of the city’s most fashionable resort restaurants.
Home to an array of Spanish-colonial structures painted by the island’s signature pastel colors, Havana is a truly unique one to get immersed in. A good starting point is Old Town Square, home to a cluster of famous statues and close access to Cámara Oscura, a famed photography hotspot due to its rooftop dark room that projects the entire city in real time. Continue inland to reach Old Havana afterward, a great daytime hideaway home to colorful streets and baroque-style buildings filled with local passerby, finally relaxing with vast cobblestone lookouts at the famed Plaza de San Francisco de Asis. Those more interested in enjoying the city’s museum scene should go exhibit-hopping along Agramonte, a stretch home to such landmarks as the Havana National Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of the Revolution and grand capitol building at Central Park. Choose from various restaurants by the end of the day, either going with upscale Cuban from Habana 61 or festive plates at Mojito Mojito. |
