Many companies, including Commonwealth, Bluegrass and Frankfort Taxi are available for hire to take guests to and from the Frankfort Convention Center. Located in Frankfort, Kentucky, this 5,000 seat venue is home to many concerts and local sporting events for the area. When it was originally built, the name was Farnham Dudgeon Civic Center. It opened as part of an urban renewal project called Capitol Plaza. About the Frankfort Convention Center The Frankfort Convention Center offers a fully qualified and professional staff to assist guests with all their needs, they have the capability of handling weddings, banquets and any number of trade shows, concerts, sporting events or meetings. There are concession stands located throughout the facility and a fully furnished kitchen and catering area. Catering and food service is available from a list of approved vendors. There is an assorted list of rental equipment and services available that includes, food and beverages, dance floor, contract services for loading and unloading of equipment, lights, linens and entertainment needs such as TV’s, video screens and even a piano. Frankfort Convention Center is also proud to offer the services of security, electrical technicians, food service, or ticket sellers, for a small rental fee. Conference rooms are also available with seating from ten to 200 people attending. Everything one would need for training, entertainment or business is located here and available to all.
