About Fairview
Two cemeteries are located along the western edge of the Hudson Palisades. The Fairview Public School System has education facilities for students in kindergarten through the eighth grade. Students in ninth grade through twelfth grade attend the high school in Cliffside Park. Fairview is serviced by the New Jersey Transit Authority, which has routes to many of the different areas surrounding Fairview. Book a ride from John F. Kennedy Airport any day of the week and find chauffeur pick up from the terminal.

 

There are plans in the agenda for a light rail system to run through Fairview in the near future. Broad Dyckman offers taxi service, limousine service or chauffeur service in the area. A person of interest who hails from Fairview is Caitlin Sanchez, the voice of Dora in Dora the Explorer cartoon.

With the town of Fairview being so small, visitors and tourists generally visit outlying towns or drive the short distance to New York City. Historical places to visit would be Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty, Central Park and Times Square. Boxwood Hall Historic Site is not as common, but worth the visit.

Visitors and guests will learn interesting facts and be able to see items from earlier centuries. There are many museums and other landmarks that make a day trip worth the time. The Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site is located in Manhattan and can be toured with reservations.

Gateway Rides and Sales have an abundance of tourist information for visitors. Homewood Suites and West view Motel, along with the Domino Inn are a couple of hotels in the immediate area where visitors can find a comfortable bed, great customer service and comparable prices. Restaurants in the area offer a wide range of cuisines. Variety ranges from Authentic Spanish to Greek, Chinese to American and burgers and pizza places all offer great food.
