About Eagle County Airport Eagle County Regional Airport commonly abbreviated EGE is the second busiest airport during the ski season next to Denver International. Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines all offer seasonal service to and from EGE and United Express offering year round service. When most airports close due to poor weather EGE is able to remain open because most of the other airports are surrounded by mountains. Most skiers prefer flying into EGE rather than Denver or Aspen because of there’s so many flights and its proximity to ski resorts like Beaver Creek, Vail, Cooper Mountain, Breckenridge, and Keystone. EGE can also accommodate larger aircrafts than Aspen can.
