About the Duke Energy Convention Center The Duke Energy Convention Center is easy to access, as it is less than ten minutes from the airport and in the middle of downtown. The facility has over 750,000 square feet available for use. The convention center can be used for conventions, trade shows, special events, or entertainment events as needed and the space sizes can be adjusted to make custom sized spaces for specific events as needed. The center was renovated in 2006 to bring it up to date and currently has a full range of services. The Duke Energy Convention Center has the biggest ballroom in the midwest and is ideal for special events from weddings to birthdays. The facility can accommodate special events with suggestions for vendors from florists to caterers and photographers. The facility has a full range of audio visual equipment that allows for dancing as well as presentations and demonstrations as needed for each individual event. The first floor of the facility has three exhibition halls, although they can be combined to make a larger space as needed. The second floor offers many meeting rooms, ideal for conferences or business meetings. Large groups can meet in larger rooms, while smaller rooms provide more intimate meeting areas for smaller groups. The third floor holds the ballrooms, both the large grand ballroom and a junior ballroom, both of which can be further subdivided as necessary for smaller events. Things to do in Cincinnati However, what Cincinnati is mostly known for is their sports scene. The city is home to eight different sports clubs, including major league baseball team the Cincinnati Reds, the NFL team the Cincinnati Bengals, and the professional soccer league team the Cincinnati Saints. In addition, Cincinnati is home to two additional soccer teams, an indoor soccer team called the Cincinnati Kings and a USL premier development league soccer team, also called the Cincinnati Kings.
