The nearest airports are the H L Sonny Challahan in Fairhope, Alabama, and the Mobile Regional. The airport in Fairhope is a mere 15 minutes’ drive from the Daphne civic center. Driving times from the Mobile Regional are typically thirty to forty five minutes, but both airports provide easy access to the local area. The H L Sonny Callahan may be closer to the civic center, but visitors will be hard-pressed to find transportation from the airport to the surrounding area. Local taxi services are typically available on the streets, and there is parking available. Better options exist from the Mobile Regional which houses five rental car agencies in the terminal Avis, Hertz, National, Dollar, and Alamo , and shuttle services to the Marriott and Homewood Suites hotels. In addition, visitors can find a plethora of options for taxi and limousine services. The Daphne Civic Center, located off I-10 in a suburb of Mobile, is a sought-after space used for a number of events. There are a number of areas offered for rental including: an exhibit hall, kitchen, dressing rooms, lobby, meeting rooms, and parking lots. About The Daphne Civic Center On the Daphne Civic Center website, a prospective user can look at all the floor plans and prices to make educated decisions about what space will suit them the best. In addition, the civic center offers a number of guest services including but not limited to: staging equipment (risers, etc.), electrical equipment (DJs, outlets, lighting), audio/visual equipment (TV’s, screens, projectors, microphones, speakers), and wedding or party props (candles, drapes, pitchers). Daphne Surrounding Area From retired naval heroes to the youngest children, this exhibit seems to please everyone.
