CFU airport transfers Along the inner harbor of the scenic British isle of Corfu, cruises arriving to the beautiful Corfu Port will find themselves just west of the small town. Home to a fine mix of British, French and Venetian residents, guests can expect to reach an array of restaurants and history amongst scenic beaches with strikingly blue waters. Get around town with ease, either through at least a dozen ferry lines departing from the port’s ferry terminal, or an array of private rentals that include casual sedans perfect for getting a self-guided tour of the region, or spacious chartered buses perfect for taking a couple dozen out to the inner island. Meet-and-greet services are also ideal for visitors more interested in getting dropped off, whether it be a luxury downtown arrival via limousine or a personally curated day of sightseeing courtesy of a local personal driver.
Upon arrival, guests won’t see much on the west end of the city, save for a few scenic views of passing boats in Corfu Harbour. Hug the coast while driving east toward downtown’s many waterfront landmarks, discovering a showcase of epic 16th-century architecture at the New Venetian Fortress, as well as a myriad of pedestrian-friendly walks at the Byzantine Museum’s bizarre ancient artworks of the old world as well as the soaking steps leading to a public swimming cove at Faliraki. Other landmarks worth visiting include the Old Venetian Fortress’ historic artifacts and church ruins that contrast the fort on the other side of town, while the Museum of Asian Art of Corfu offers a dramatic space and bragging rights of being the island’s most visited exhibit. Avoid big crowds during peak tourist seasons with a tour of the outskirts instead, whether that means visiting the peaceful Vlacherna Monastery or settling down with villlc-side exhibits at the Mon Repos. |
