There are a few shuttle services that provide transportation in the Cordova Area. GO Airport Shuttle is nationwide and has vehicles for every trip from large groups to a couple of people. For other services such as charters there is also Prompt Charters and Tours. Prompt Charters and Tours will have your large busses for larger groups and take you around the surrounding cities for viewing tours of beautiful Alaska. You also have access to taxi services as well. Taxi services are provided by a couple of companies such as Cordova Taxi Cab and Yellow Cab. The cab services are readily available at the airport so you will not have to make a reservation for those as you would for the shuttle services. With a lot of flights in and out of the city you will be better off making reservations if you are using shuttle services. The beauty of Alaska is not only the large cities but the small ones as well. All of the beautiful Alaska without the hustle and bustle of the larger cities will make you think about staying in the smaller cities. There is a lot to do and don’t worry about getting there. The large airlines will make sure that you are there with no hassles. Cordova, A Small Airport With A Big Name The EAS is a United States government program that guarantees that small communities in the United States are served by certificated airlines. It services small communities such as Cordova to provide air service that wouldn’t be profitable otherwise. Even though Cordova is a very small city with an airport, the EAS makes sure that larger airlines make their way to this city. Forty-six percent is general aviation, twenty-nine percent air taxi, eighteen percent scheduled commercial and seven percent military. This small airport has a very big name that makes it way there. That large airline is Alaska Airlines. Alaska Airlines makes it way to this city from large airports and has destinations to Anchorage, Juneau, and Yakutat. With three larger cities as a destination, there is an average of about thirty eight flights per day. Another prominent airline that provides air travel from CDV is Ravn Alaska. With larger airlines, you will find that booking through Alaska Airlines, they will use Ravn Alaska to operate the flight for them.
