Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center Shuttles |
The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center offers a large space for exhibitions, trade shows and special events in the heart of downtown Columbia, South Carolina. | |
About Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center is a large space, with a total of 142,500 square feet of usable space that can be arranged and divided any number of ways to suit any exhibitor or company. The largest section of space is dedicated to the exhibition hall, which has 24,700 square feet that is column-free, allowing large items to be displayed in the hall. This is ideal for car and boat shows, although the exhibition hall can be divided to make smaller spaces for groups that need less space. The facility provides an economic boost to the city and allows access to conventions and trade shows to local residents. Visitors to the convention center can enjoy the beauty and history of Columbia. The upstairs hosts the ballroom. With 17,135 square feet, this elegant space can accommodate even the largest banquet group or wedding reception. The ballroom can be divided into three separate spaces for those who need less space, without affecting the attractiveness of the space. There are also meeting rooms available. These rooms come in various sizes and several of them can be combined to create larger rooms for conferences and business meetings. The convention center has an in-house catering group that can provide anything from boxed lunches for business meetings to gourmet meals for banquets and wedding receptions. The facility can also supply staff to help with audio and visual equipment as needed. Things to do in Columbia There are also abundant arts and cultural experiences available in Columbia. These include Town Theater, the oldest theater in continuous use in the country.
