The Charleston Area Convention Center offers the residents of Charleston, South Carolina access to some of the biggest and best meeting and exhibition spaces in the region. Visitors to the convention center can enjoy all the amenities of this beautiful and historic southern city. About Charleston Area Convention Center The exhibit hall at the Charleston Area Convention Center is 77,000 square feet. This enormous space is ideal for large exhibitions like car and boat shows but can be divided into three smaller spaces for smaller groups or shows or to allow for multiple events to run concurrently. The exhibition hall has floor panels that provide microphone and other audio services along with power services and the exhibition hall is served by a loading dock to make transport of supplies easy. The convention center can provide meeting, exhibition and ballroom services. The meeting spaces available at the Charleston Area Convention Center are also significant. There are 73,000 square feet of additional space beyond the exhibition hall. 25,000 of those square feet are dedicated to the grand ballroom, which provides an elegant space for banquets, wedding receptions and other special events. The ballroom can be divided into six smaller spaces while retaining its elegance. There are also 21 breakout rooms available for meetings, including three boardrooms, making it easy to hold conferences or meetings in the convention center. The facility has an arrangement with Embassy Suites to provide catering to events that are held at the convention center. This allows for easy access to food for your banquet, reception or event. Things to do in North Charleston Cultural events and locations are widespread in Charleston. In fact, the city is home to the first museum in the country, the Charleston Museum. There are also museums celebrating the maritime history of the city and region and a large quantity of historical buildings and houses that can be toured, including a building that hosted events held by George Washington.
