Centennial Hall Convention Center Airport Shuttles |
This is an awesome little convention center that has a massive 12,000+ square foot meeting area, as well as several smaller areas. | |
The best thing about the center and the large meeting area is the lobby. It is actually broken into two lobbies and these add an addition near 3000 square feet of area. The way the whole system is laid out makes it perfect for near any type of event. The lobbies serve perfectly to start the journey that your meeting goers will be going on. If there are those that want to post displays and take a very active "merchandising" approach, then the lobbies are perfect for this, leaving the main meeting area clear of these types of displays. There is plenty of room for those that want to gather into meeting groups before entering the main area. You can even meet with your event goers in the lobby and take them into the main area while introducing your topics, speakers or whatever it is that you have going on. Proms and receptions can keep the majority of the photo areas and refreshments off the main floor by using the lobbies. We cannot say enough about this area and the way that it is set up. You simply have to come out and see what they have done. There is a highly abundant staff that is there for you and for your guests. Rather than feel like you have forced the center to provide help, they are there for you with a smile on their face. If your guests are going to be around for more than just the day, there are some very cool things to be seen. The center sits within a ten minute ride of the channel and that boasts a very graphic coast line that you will never forget. It is not just the water and the scenery, but the ships and boats that add majesty to the channel. There is nothing like it in the world and you have to see this before you leave. There are also the Capital Building just to the north and the Cathedral of the Nativity to the north and slightly to the east. These are two buildings that will stop you in your tracks. Interstate 7 is the main road and it is less than a short walk away. A great way to compliment a meeting is with a cruise and you can jump on 7 and go just a bit to the south for some of the most breath taking cruises in the world. If you are planning ahead, check out the cruises that are available and see if you can add these for some of the guests, depending on what type of event you are hosting. |
