Calumet Airport Shuttle Service
The shuttle service for the Hancock/Calumet airport is provided by the city of Hancock as Public Transit. Houghton Public Transit also provides airport services. The rates are highly competitive and reasonable.

Travelers are also able to contact Copper Country Limo and Taxi, or can contact Neil’s Taxi to obtain transportation. Alamo and National Car Rental have services available at counters inside the terminal. Some of the local hotels do provide a shuttle service to and from the airport for their guests that fly into Hancock/Calumet. About Calumet Airport The airport was constructed through an agreement between the United States government and the Canadians. This agreement is known as the Canadian-Michigan Exchange. This has made for a friendly association between our two nations for over 130 years. This airport serves as a gateway to the Keweenaw, meeting the needs of the community and giving wonderful, trustworthy service. Hotels near CMX Choice restaurants and coffee shops dot the streets in and around town. Visitors and travelers can choose to dine at small town, family style restaurants, Pubs with Grills, Cafés and Coffee shops, for a truly happy and fulfilling meal. The Michigan House has a variety of history to learn about as you eat at this family style location with interesting architecture. Along with the rich mining history of the area, visitors can visit historical buildings to learn more about the towns surrounding the airport. There is a Frisbee Museum, Antique shops and Theaters also offer rich and interesting entertainment. In winter months, the sledding cannot be topped. Michigan is alive with the joys of winter; Mount Bohemia offers skiing, sledding and boarding options. The Upper Peninsula Firefighter’s Memorial Museum is located in the National Historic Park. The museum is made of sandstone form the Lake Superior area. Laurium Mansion, which also serves as a Bed and Breakfast, was built in 1908 and offers tours and plenty of interesting information about the rich history of copper mining in the area.
