William A Clark settled in this region to open copper mines. In 1884, he commissioned that a mansion be built to take folks breath away. In 1888, he and his family moved into their new home. The Copper King Mansion is on the National Registry of Historic Buildings. It has an extensive collection of china, clocks, and demitasse cups from all over the world. It is open for tours just to see how another time period lived. Lucky for you, it is also a bed and breakfast. There are four private bedrooms.
