Three separate entities own and operate the Belmont Estate, also known as the Belmont Conference Center. These entities are The Smithsonian Institution, The American Chemical Society and Howard Community College. About the Belmont Conference Center Now it is known as the Belmont Manor Historic Park and is maintained by Howard County and the Department of Parks and Recreation. The Estate can be rented for weddings and receptions, Business meetings and other such events. Some amenities that are offered as rental accessories are tables and chairs, linens, appliances, audio visual equipment and also outdoor tents. The different areas available for rental times are the grounds, in certain areas, and the first floor of the Manor House. There is also option for some overnight stays, this can be discussed with management. There is a conference center and kitchen rental agreement available online as well. There is a schedule available where guests can tour the grounds and the Manor itself at specified times. These tours will not take place during scheduled weddings or receptions, or other meetings that are scheduled. There are different package rates, which all include various room rentals available. Overnight packages are for up to 10 rooms and cost will vary accordingly. Due to the provision of the Manor on the National Historic Registry, rules and regulations must be strictly followed. Smoking is not allowed in most areas. Caterers and Vendors must be licensed and insured. There is a dance floor that is available for rental, and all security measure will be discussed at the time of contract signing. Although the option of renting up to ten sleeping rooms is available, there are other hotels located within the area. These can range from budget conscious rooms to five star suites. Some local hotels include Econo-Lodge, Best Western and The Westin Baltimore. There is a wide range of eating establishment in the area also. Restaurants such as The Elkridge Furnace Inn, Sushi Q, along with kid friendly places for pizza and burgers offer food to suit everyone’s tastes. For the person who seeks fun and excitement after a full day of meetings at The Belmont Conference Center, there are sport’s facilities, parks and swim clubs. Mini golf can be a fun activity for the whole family. There are other Historical sites and tours, and also museums to visit. Contact Information |
