About Alhambra With a population of an estimated nearly eighty five thousand, and a total area about 8 miles, Alhambra, interestingly enough was promoted as a ‘city of homes.’ It was a showcase of many different styles of architecture and types of builds that were developing, starting back to the 1890’s. Residents can find
shuttles to LAX in a variety of rides such as shared ride van and limos.
It has been traces that building structures like the Spanish Mediterranean, Spanish colonial, the bungalow, craftsman, Italian beaux-arts, and arts and crafts were first displayed in Alhambra, California. Unfortunately, as time as gone on, most of the historic buildings have been torn down; however, in their place now stand many new historic pieces. On Main Street in particular, Alhambra has many retail, dining, and entertainment establishments.
